Our History

Our History - Kristen - Toffee Traditions

I started my sweet company in 2006 with butter, sugar and a lot of love; however, the tradition started in the 1940's when my grandfather, Eugene, started to make candies in his kitchen. As a child I watched him spin simple sugar into luscious caramels, decadent pralines, and buttery toffee. Little did we know that in addition to the sweets, we were also creating lifelong memories. These sweet memories are the foundation of Toffee Traditions.

Over the last fifteen years, Toffee Traditions has gone through a number of iterations.

Earlier last year, like everyone, I was evaluating my life: Who am I? What do I want to be when I grow up?  It only took a moment for me to realize that I already knew – I am a candy maker like my grandfather.  If you know me, you know my toffee.

It was then that I decided to re-brand and re-launch my toffee company – to expand from farmers markets to the up-scale luxury confectionery. It is time to transition Toffee Traditions from a home-based business to a brick and mortar "store front."

I look forward to seeing you at the shop soon,

Kristen
